From the River to the Ends of the Earth (one time showing, January 10) - Gym This newly released 52-minute documentary explores the history of revival in Canada and examines trends that suggest Canada is moving toward unprecedented spiritual revival that could impact the nation spiritually, socially and economically. It also features First Nations and Inuit spiritual leaders who affirm their belief that the entire nation is on the verge of a powerful awakening. The documentary awakens one's expectation that God is at work in Canada. Further it will motivate believers to pray for awakening. Join us for this one time showing, Sunday, January 10th at 10:00 a.m. in the Gym.

Disciples' Bible Study Series
Disciples' Bible Study Series: Exodus (starts January 10) - Lecture Theatre This class is part of the ongoing Scripture Press series working through the Bible in eight years. The focus of study for January to March will be Exodus. The teacher will be Alan Mortenson, long time Bible school teacher. Study booklets (at the cost of $5 each) will be available for class participants. The greatest spiritual dividends will come to those who can consistently be at all or most of the classes. However, the class is open to those who can only step in on occasion. Location: Lecture Theatre

ESL (English as a Second Language)
ESL (English as a Second Language) (starts January 10) - Room 209 This class is designed to help (through Bible reading and discussion) those who are learning English as a second language. Primary instructors are Peter and Arlene Block, and a number of dedicated one-on-one tutors. Location: Room 209

Harmony Class
Harmony Class (starts January 10) - Lounge During January and early February, this long standing fellowship group will be studying Joshua with Elmer Andres as the teacher. Though the group has traditionally been made up of people 60 years of age and up, the class is open to every age group... teens to senior adults. Location: Church Lounge

FX Together/Home
FX Together/Home (starts January 10) Parents and young children have opportunities to interact together by way of FX (family experiences). The monthly schedule will be as follows:

1st Sunday: Kidstuf/FX Together (sanctuary)
2nd Sunday: FX at Home
3rd Sunday: FX Together (separate learning experiences at church)
4th Sunday: FX at Home

A Few Things Learned/Confirmed/Challenged
A Few Things Learned/Confirmed/Challenged (starts January 17) - Room 206 Dick Trew, a semi-retired counsellor having worked for many years in secular settings, is now working at Teen Challenge as a Life Skills Coach.  In this setting he has been forced to look afresh at the transforming gospel of Christ. This elective attempts to open up for consideration and discussion pertinent aspects of the work of the Spirit of God, taking people from addictive slavery to freedom in Christ. Topics include (but are not limited to) idolatry, broken relationships, discipline, forgiveness, the spiritual nature of life, healing, discerning the will of God, growing into service. The class will meet in Room 206

Restoration of Women
Restoration of Women (starts January 17) – Living Room Jesus came to restore all that was lost in the fall (Luke 19:10). Restoring mankind to Himself and to one another as sisters and brothers in Christ is central to the message of redemption. Topics include original intent (Genesis 1:27), personal restoration, positive & negative historical movements, sibling rivalry, gender reconciliation, those 'difficult passages', mentoring, role models of faith, and more.  The class will be led by Jodi Kozan in "The Living Room". The class is open to men and women of all ages.

The Truth Project
The Truth Project (starts January 17) - Room 205 Focus on the Family has recently released a highly acclaimed DVD series entitled "The Truth Project". Participants in the class will be involved in providing a review and assessment of this resource. The introductory material states that "we are engaged in a cosmic battle - a battle that is raging for the hearts and minds of people the world over, pitting the claims of God against the lies of the world." "The project is designed to build a systematic and comprehensive Biblical framework by studying God’s blueprint for all of life." More information can be found at www.thetruthproject.org. The class will run for 12 weeks and facilitated by Pastor Harry and Wally Dyck. Given that each DVD is approximately 55 minutes long, this class will commence every week at 9:30 a.m. in Room #205.
