Bruce Enns - Lead Pastor

It's been quite an exciting ride, continuing to learn what it means to be a pastor, since 2000.  I have had the privilege of serving as Lead Pastor since 2004 and continue to see God stretching and growing each one of us as we strive to walk in faith.  My background has been in coaching and athletics, but God has a great sense of humour and had different plans that led us here to FGCC in pastoral ministry.  What continues to inspire and motivate me is to see the transformation that occurs in people's lives when we encounter the living God in Jesus Christ.  One of my life verses is 2 Timothy 1:7 that "God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline."  It seems I need to re-claim different aspects of that truth every week.
Personally, I love the outdoors and almost any sport involving water, I still try to play hockey, and the way I get "re-created" on my days off is to put on a tool belt and work with my hands (especially woodworking).

    • Pets: none really, though growing increasingly fond of the fish in my pond and our girls have a cat
